About Patrick
Patrick Rangeley is a keen, young picture framer starting out in business on the north coast of Norfolk. Through 2025 Patrick has been training under the expert and watchful eye of Wayne “the frame” Dodds, a master picture framer of over 20 years experience. Wayne is moving on now, to a new life project in France, and Patrick has established his own picture framing workshop.
Patrick is a Norfolk lad. His family has lived in Thornham for centuries. Patrick went to school in Holt and studied at Norwich University of the Arts. Like Wayne, Patrick is a photographer, and started out framing his own work. In 2021, he exhibited pictures of the Norfolk coast in a show called Ebb and Flow at Wells Maltings. In 2024, he framed Charlie Hamilton-James’ photographs of chalk streams – a National Geographic commission – for the Literature and Landscape exhibition, also at the Maltings. Patrick likes to bring his creative eye to the job of picture framing. He also enjoys the precision and methodology of the work.
Patrick’s workshop is round the back of the bustling site of Drove Orchards, where there are cafés, restaurants, ice-cream stalls and a farm shop.
To find Patrick’s Picture Framing just drive all the way through the site, between the Startle Art Gallery and The Old Store and you’ll find us around to the right, just beyond Trove.
Patrick will have a look at your commission and advise and price on the spot if he can. If the work is a bit more complex, he’ll take the time to think it through carefully.
Every job is different, and every job is special.
Patrick looks forward to seeing you.
